MAKING IT CHIN

Making It Chin is a creative initiative that explores how art and everyday design can help preserve Chin culture, language, and faith. Through storytelling and community collaboration, it reimagines traditional Chin artifacts, games, and symbols for new generations.

The Chin people, an ethnic minority from western Myanmar, have long faced persecution under the Burmese military regime, forcing many, including my own family, to seek refuge around the world. Today, Chin communities continue to honor their faith and traditions while navigating life in new cultures.

Making It Chin is both a preservation effort and a personal journey, an expression of gratitude, identity, and belonging grounded in faith and heritage.
